Getting started as an app creator
As an app creator on ViewBounty, you post campaigns to get content creators to make videos about your app. Here is how to get the most out of the platform.
Creating your account
Sign up and select the "App Creator" role during onboarding. ViewBounty will set up an embedded wallet for you on Base, which is used to manage your campaign funds in USDC.
Setting up a campaign
When creating a campaign, you will fill in:
- App name and URL - The app you want promoted, with a link to its store page or website.
- App icon - A recognizable icon so creators can identify your app.
- Description - What your app does and why creators should be excited about it.
- Content brief - Specific guidelines for what the video content should include, the tone, key features to highlight, and anything to avoid.
- Platforms - Which social platforms you want content on (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, X).
- CPM rate - How much you pay per 1,000 verified views. Higher rates attract more creators.
- Total budget - The maximum amount you want to spend on this campaign.
Funding your campaign
Campaigns require a USDC deposit to go live. You send USDC on Base to the platform wallet, and the deposit is recorded against your campaign. Once funded, the campaign becomes active and visible to creators.
Reviewing submissions
When creators submit content, you can review each submission from your dashboard. You can approve submissions that follow your brief or reject those that do not meet your guidelines (with a reason). Only approved submissions earn payouts.
Tips for effective campaigns
- Write a clear, specific content brief. The more detail you provide, the better the content.
- Set competitive CPM rates. Check other active campaigns to see the going rates.
- Respond to submissions quickly. Creators appreciate fast feedback.
- Start with a smaller budget to test, then scale up campaigns that work well.
